Anika Rose, born in the year 2000 is an American performer and actress. She is best known for her vocalist of Tiana in The Princess and the Frog, the very first African American Disney Princess. The year 2011, Rose was recognised as a Disney Legend. Rose starred as Lorrell Robinson in the Academy Award-winning movie Dreamgirls. Anika Rose was born on the 6th of September, 1971. She is an American actress and singer. The most famous of her roles was her performance as Tiana the Princess from Disney who is one of the very first African American princess in The Princess and the Frog (2009). She was recognized as an official Disney Legend in 2011. She was also recognized for her performance in Dreamgirls (2006) in which she won the Academy Award for Best Picture. On the Starz show Power she played LaVerne Jukebox Ganner. The stage performances she has performed are also well-known, particularly her roles in the role of Emmie Thbodeaux and as the character in The Broadway production of the musical Caroline or Change (2004) in which she was awarded the Tony Award Best Featured actress in an Musical. Her nomination was to win the Tony Award Best Featured actor in the play Broadway revival A Raisin in the Sun.
